Ran 2.5 miles yesterday that started with trekking over water under blue skies. It was gorgeous and yet hot, muggy, difficult, and rewarding. I wore my heart monitor watch and found that it was more distracting and inaccurate than helpful. It registered 40 beats per minute, 60, and most terrifying 00. I would have obviously been dead in the latter case. I think I’ll save up and get the new touch screen garmin.

I’d like some assistance with training smart and taking your heart rate into consideration is important in controlling burn out.
